I think they have a good chance to get their first victory of the season against the Patriots, and here’s why:
Tom Brady is still in recovery mode and is not playing his best football. Defenders Richard Seymour, Mike Vrabel, Rodney Harrison and Tedy Bruschi are gone. Jabar Gaffney is catching passes for the Broncos.
Titans players still believe
Comments by David Thornton and LenDale White lead me to believe that the Titans’ players have not lost confidence in themselves and in Jeff Fisher. Keith Bulluck sounds less optimistic these days, but I know he will continue to play hard.
Chris Johnson
CJ is ranked third in rushing yards and leads the NFL in yards from scrimmage. He’s capable of making a big play at any moment and at any spot on the field. Mike Heimerdinger needs to find ways to get him the ball on the edge of the Patriots’ 3-4 defense.
Weather
I know it’s kind of lame… but, according to weather.com, there”s an 80% chance of rain on Sunday, and temperatures will be in the 40s. Perhaps a few fumbles will bounce into the hands of Titans defenders.
The power of positive thinking
It’s easy to be negative, and there will be more negative communication here if the Titans continue to lose. However, despite the win-loss record, this team has considerable talent. The first three games were close. Management has addressed weaknesses by signing returner Mark Jones and cornerback Roderick Hood.
Let’s go, Titans! Win one for yourselves!
