Breakdancing: The Good Ol’ Days

Originally published on July 26, 2002

I’m not a packrat. Most of the time, that’s a good thing. Occasionally, however, I’ve regretting throwing things away from time to time.

One of those things I regret throwing away was a breakdancing instruction poster that I got with a rap cassette I bought back in 1984. It was a decent-sized poster which illustrated dozens of moves. I fondly remember trying out some of the moves with an acquaintance in my college dorm room as we looked on the poster hanging on my door. Of course, the dancing was a fad but the music associated with breakdancing is the soundtrack of today’s youth.

Thanks to DeepFun, I found a site that teaches you how to breakdance.

I think I’ll break out my cassette copy of the Breakin’ soundtrack and bust a move.
